The Beach Body You Deserve - Coming to you soon.

Hello Chaps and ladies, a few weeks ago I was asked to travel to London and take part in a fitness video for Slendertone.

Now for you more sceptical readers, you may ask; does Slendertone work? My answer is simple, if I didn't believe in the product I wouldn't have taken part! The Slendertone Abs X70 (for the chaps) has helped me reduce the size of my waist from 103.5cm to 91.5cm (12cm reduction or 42332in). Of course dieting and exercise has played it's part, but just abs and core exercises on their own wouldn't have got me to where I am without the added help of Slendertone Abs.

Here's a sneak peek at the first in the series of what Jarod Chapman calls Slendercise, this one's for the abs and bought to you by slendertone and celebrity personal trainer Jarod Chapman. The other two are to tone your arms and bottom.

Please click here if you can not see it.

These exercises are designed for both boys and girls and to be used with or without the Slendertone products and will produce toning results but they won't be as good.

Gary Rainsford, Senior Clinical Scientist at Slendertone explains: “The use of EMS technology for muscle conditioning is a well-supported training approach, especially when used to complement conventional exercise. Research by Paillard in 2008 found better training outcomes through a combined EMS-exercise training approach versus exercise alone. Applying Slendertone technology to your training routine provides a strong partner in the search for a more toned and defined body, whatever the occasion.”

I'll be posting the full length version very soon with a picture of my torso, then at four and eight weeks, I'll show you my results.

Thanks for reading and watching, I'd be very interested in your views on this product.

The 'Face Torture' Challenge! Results

Hi boys and girls, just over four weeks ago I went on a little 'Face Torture' challenge to Thorpe Park theme park. The requirements were, not to wear any grooming products ahead of the challenge and then afterwards to document the impact felt on my face as a result. I was then to apply Dove Men+Care Hydrate+ Facial moisturiser and report on any benefits that I feel it delivers.

What a great challenge, however, one of my readers made a good point!

"How does that show any benefits to Dove products? After that your skin will be screaming out for any moisture so regardless of how good or bad the moisturiser is it will feel good.

A better challenge would be to use Dove on one half of your face and a different moisturiser on the other half and see which ends up better at the end if the week.

This isn't a criticism of you, just Dove trying to get people to buy into their products on the results of a trial which is guaranteed to make them look good."

Unfortunately I read this comment after I had applied the moisturiser so I couldn't compare; I suppose this means I'll have to go again and test out other brands. What I did do was note how my skin felt before and after application of the moisturiser, and I decided to postpone the post for a month to test the product properly and allow my skin to adjust.

The day I went to Thorpe Park it had clear skies, so extremely sunny and at it's hottest period of the day it was around 30°C. Standing in one hour queues for each ride with no shade, then going on fast rides took its toll on my face, and by the end of the day my skin felt dry and tight. I applied Dove Men+Care Hydrate+ Facial moisturiser and my skin absorbed it extremely quickly, (not a great surprise as I hadn't used any moisturiser before I went) it didn't feel greasy, my skin felt smooth, healthy, and hydrated.

I've now been using it for just over four weeks and overall I'm pretty happy with this moisturiser. It still absorbs into my skin quickly and my skin looks just as smooth, healthy and feels hydrated every day. By the end of each day my skin does feel a little oily but this isn't a fault of the product as it is designed for balanced skin and not for oily skin types. If you do have oily skin Dove Men+Care have a moisturiser for you.

Overall it's worth a try; it's kept my skin feeling hydrated, it has SPF 15 and as it is a high street brand it is affordable.

Thanks for reading.

Sponsored Video: Ready, set, go: Cool installation by Gillette

Hi boys and girls! Ever dreamt of being the best? Winning gold? Or standing on the number one spot on the podium? If you are like me and you have been inspired over the last few weeks with all that has happened on the track, field, the pool etc. at London 2012, then you need to be using the best products to suit you.

If I was to quote “The best a man can get” no doubt the first thing that will pop into your head will be Gillette! For some lucky chaps that dream to be number one has now become reality as Gillette surprised some shoppers in a drugstore in Europe. To celebrate the Great Start of the athletes in London this week, Gillette had launched a cool Guerrilla installation with a surprising effect around its Gillette Fusion ProGlide Golden Edition.

See what happened when a man steps up onto the winner's podium, reaching out for Gold, in this cool video by BBDO New York.

If you’ve never used a Proglide, Gillette have designed the Proglides shave handle to make it easier to hold and the blades are Fusions thinnest so far. According to Gillette this should help the blades to glide across the face with less tug and pull. It also has a trimmer on the head with an anti-clog rinse slot which is a nice added extra.

I’ve used the Proglide and personally I feel it does produce a really comfortable, smooth, close shave and I'm sure you'll be very happy with the results.

This post has been sponsored by Gillette.

Thanks for reading and watching.
